ABOUT

Becoming a parent is one of the most rewarding things you can do, or so was told.  In truth, there is much to be proud of with our girls, from our youngest, who as a baby was perhaps the most easy going I've seen and who has since struggled with her development but has begun to improve each and every day, to her elder sister, who is the biggest character; the most caring but with a wicked attitude and a sharp tongue to match. Each of them wow us on a weekly basis, but that does not mean that we're not left head in hands almost hourly in disbelief at some of the crackpot things they say and do - which is the point of this platform.

I can liken being a father of two daughters to being a superhero, albeit with a different set of challenges. Instead of fighting off villains and evil folk, I'm instead constantly battling bobbles, glitter, teddies, bed time and, my biggest nemesis, the bath. I never know what kind of mood your little ones will be in, but I better be ready to dance, sing, and play dress-up (makeup included) at a moment's notice. However, despite the challenges, the joy of seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter makes it all worth it in the end, almost all the time.

I set up this website as a tongue in cheek take on fatherhood. It’s called Dad’s Grumbles as I looks at the trials and tribulations of living with my two girls. It’s not about any hardships, more the vexing times where if it wasn’t for my love for them or the fact that I’d get criminally prosecuted for it, I could quite easily throw them out of the window; or into our big black bin at the very least. There is nothing that makes my head hurt more than them (aside from my having had copious amounts of alcohol the evening before, or watching my favourite club Man United since 2013),but I can't say I'd change any part of them.

I hope anyone that makes it onto the site and that takes a good look around enjoys what they read and continues to have a peek at the content I have on offer.

THE BOSSES

At least that's what we like to think. Truth is, the little ones constantly run rings around us. We try our best to keep the house in order, and largely we do, but it's certainly the most testing time we've had as a couple. We wouldn't have it any other way, but we can't say we don't miss the days of drinking, chilling, and holidaying as a two.

ISABELLA (1ST BORN)

CATHERINE (THE BABY)

My first born and pride & joy, Isabella changed our lives when she was born on the 10th March 2018. She's kind and constantly thinks about others, while she has an attitude that tries our patience every single day. Cheeky and bright as they come, she constantly makes us smile.

The newest member of the team. Catherine (AKA Kitty) has only been in our lives since the 11th May 2020. Our mid-lockdown baby brought a lot of joy in what had been a dark period. She's always on the go and her constant energy tires us out every day; but there are so many laughs with this one.
